Drink on pace,
not by guesswork.

AquaPace works out how much water you need today — from your body, your workouts and the weather — and only nudges you when you actually fall behind.

Free for iPhone and Apple Watch. No account.

Your day starts when you wake up.

Not at midnight. Today's goal is 2,400 ml — worked out from your weight, age and sex. Night shift? The day moves with you.

Ahead of pace. Silence.

Two glasses and a coffee, and you're ahead of the curve. AquaPace doesn't send a thing. Coffee and tea count — they hydrate almost as well as water.

A little behind. One gentle nudge.

You're 300 ml behind the curve, so a single reminder arrives. Tap “Log 250 ml” on the notification and you're done — no need to open the app.

Ran 45 minutes. It's 31 °C.

With Pro, your goal follows Apple Health and the weather: today it rises by 650 ml. Tap the goal to see exactly where every millilitre comes from.

Done before bed.

Reminders stop 90 minutes before you sleep, so the night stays quiet. Goal reached — and your streak keeps going.

Everything you need to drink is free.

The most common complaint about water apps is a paywall on the basics. Ours covers only the extras.

Yearly with a 7-day free trial, monthly, or pay once. We remind you two days before a trial ends.

A goal you can check.

Your base goal is about 33 ml per kilogram of body weight, lower after 55, blended half-and-half with the European Food Safety Authority's reference intakes. For a BMI of 30 or more we use an adjusted weight, so the goal doesn't overshoot. Pregnancy adds 300 ml and breastfeeding 700 ml. With Pro, workouts add 10 ml per minute and hot days add 50 ml per degree above 25 °C. The goal always stays between 1.2 and 5 litres.

AquaPace is a habit tool, not a medical device. If a doctor has told you to limit fluids, follow their advice.

See what your water lines up with.

Health insights put months of drinking next to your sleep, steps, workouts and resting heart rate from Apple Health. Clear links get called clear; weak ones are labelled weak. Apple Intelligence then writes a short report — using Private Cloud Compute where available — and only averages ever leave your iPhone.

Questions

How much water should I drink a day?

It depends on your body, activity and climate. A common reference for adults is about 2.0 litres of total water a day for women and 2.5 litres for men (EFSA), including water from food. AquaPace starts from your weight, age and sex, then adds water for workouts and hot days.

Is AquaPace free?

Yes. Logging every drink, editing entries, reminders, widgets, Apple Watch, Siri and Apple Health sync are free. AquaPace Pro adds adaptive goals, Health insights, AI reports, heat alerts and full history.

Do coffee and tea count?

Yes. Each drink counts by how well it hydrates: water, tea and milk count fully, coffee and juice almost fully, beer about half and wine not at all. AquaPace also tracks the caffeine.

Does it work with Apple Watch and Apple Health?

Yes. Log from your wrist or a complication, and AquaPace saves water, caffeine, sugar and calories to Apple Health. With permission it reads workouts, sleep, steps and resting heart rate for the adaptive goal and Health insights.

Why do I only get reminders sometimes?

AquaPace compares what you've had with an ideal curve for your waking hours. If you're on track, it stays quiet. You can also switch to classic reminders at a fixed interval, from every 30 minutes to every 4 hours.

Is my health data private?

Your drinks stay on your iPhone and in Apple Health. There's no account, no ads and no tracking. For AI reports, only averages are sent to Apple's Private Cloud Compute, which doesn't keep them.

I work night shifts. Does that work?

Yes. Your day starts six hours before you wake up, not at midnight, so the goal and reminders follow your own schedule.
